Collaborative Seminar (Labriola): MRGESCP Program Portal
Under an interagency agreement with the US Army Corps of Engineers-Albuquerque District and input from the Middle Rio Grande Endangered Species Collaborative Program, the United States Geological Survey maintains the Collaborative Program Portal, a publicly-assessable website designed for use by both the public and Collaborative Program signatories and partners. The Portal is a valuable, centralized, and independent resource for Collaborative Program activities, strategies, priorities, and products. Furthermore, the Portal hosts large datasets and an extensive document library (many that cannot be readily found elsewhere), as well as a geospatial mapping application that allows users to view spatial datasets such as river miles, vegetation, river reaches, and past restoration efforts. As the Portal is a transparent resource focused on communication and information-sharing, it is a vital component of the Collaborative Program’s efforts to support sustained and coordinated management and scientific activities within the Middle Rio Grande Basin.
