Thermal Release Request

The Department (NYSDEC) requests releases from the FFMP2017 Thermal Mitigation Bank from Cannonsville, Pepacton, and Neversink due to the extremely warm weather.

We request a 300 cfs increase to the release from Cannonsville Reservoir, a 25 cfs increase at Pepacton Reservoir and a 25 cfs increase at Neversink Reservoir.

Cannonsville Reservoir

Friday, July 19th, 2019

3:00 PM 500 cfs to 650 cfs (+150 cfs)

4:00 PM 650 cfs to 800 cfs (+150 cfs)

Maintain 800 cfs until 12:01 PM Sunday

Sunday, July 21st, 2019

12:01 PM 800 cfs to 750 cfs (-50 cfs)

2:00 PM 750 cfs to 700 cfs (-50 cfs)

4:00 PM 700 cfs to 650 cfs (-50 cfs)

6:00 PM 650 cfs to 600 cfs (-50 cfs)

8:00 PM 600 cfs to 550 cfs (-50 cfs)

10:00 PM 550 cfs to 500 cfs (-50 cfs)

Pepacton Reservoir

Friday, July 19th, 2019

4:00 PM 150 cfs to 175 cfs (+25 cfs)

Maintain 175 cfs until 4:00 PM Sunday

Sunday, July 21st, 2019

4:00 PM 175 cfs to 150 cfs (-25 cfs)

Neversink Reservoir

Friday, July 19th, 2019

4:00 PM 115 cfs to 140 cfs (+25 cfs)

Maintain 140 cfs until 4:00 PM Sunday

Sunday, July 21st, 2019

4:00 PM 140 cfs to 115 cfs (-25 cfs)
