Office of the Delaware River Master
Thermal Release Request
On behalf of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, we request an enhanced release from Cannonsville Reservoir for the purpose of thermal mitigation in the mainstem Delaware River in accordance with the 2017 Flexible Flow Management Program.
Natural runoff has been decreasing since 6/11. The forecast for today is warm and mostly sunny. Tomorrow is expected to be warm and partly sunny. Light precipitation is possible with a chance of thunderstorms throughout with a greater likelihood tomorrow. Tomorrow’s high water temperature at Lordville, NY has the potential to be above 75 OF especially if the observed temperatures are warmer than forecast, if there is no precipitation, or if cloud cover is less than expected.
