Thermal Release Request
On behalf of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, we request an enhanced release from Cannonsville Reservoir for the purpose of thermal mitigation in the mainstem Delaware River in accordance with the 2017 Flexible Flow Management Program.
The forecast for today, tonight, and tomorrow is warm with uncertainty about precipitation and cloud cover for tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow’s high water temperature will likely be above 74 OF with a fair chance of exceeding 75 OF if the observed temperatures are warmer than forecast or if the cloud cover and precipitation are less than expected.
