Thermal Release Request
The 2017 FFMP allocates 2,500 cfs-days to the Thermal Mitigation Bank. There are 1,846 cfs-days remaining in the bank which expires on 5/31/2022.
The forecasts for today and tomorrow at Binghamton and Hancock, NY are around 90 degrees and sunny with a low of about 65 degrees tonight. There is no chance of precipitation in the forecast until Wednesday.
The high water temperature at Lordville could potentially exceed 75 degrees tomorrow with the current releases based on an analysis of the conditions. The current Table 4g releases are 450 cfs for Cannonsville and 140 cfs from Pepacton.
The estimated cost to the thermal bank from this request is about 75 cfs-days.
