Thermal Release Request
NYSDEC is requesting a release from the 2017 FFMP Thermal Mitigation Bank due to the forecast of warm and sunny conditions. The daily high water temperature at Lordville, NY is projected to approach or exceed 75 degrees with the current conservation release from Cannonsville Reservoir.
NYSDEC requests an increased release from Cannonsville Reservoir in the form of a 10 hour +200 cfs pulse above the current Table 4G Level L2 release of 500 cfs.
The current releases from Cannonsvile for 8/16 and 8/17 are above the Table 4G L2 release due to ODRM direction to meet the Montague Flow Objective.
There are 1425 cfs-days remaining in the bank before this evening’s release. The thermal bank will only be debited for the quantity released above the ODRM directed releases.
